- In the multi-year history of the VIB,
broadcasts have been viewed from 16 states (Illinois, Missouri, Indiana,
California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, North
Carolina, Nevada, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Montana, and Ohio) and six countries (USA, Canada, Singapore,
Denmark, Italy, and The Czech Republic).* Of these locations, Singapore is
the farthest away from Downs at approximately 9450 miles. View a

- In addition to the multitude of broadcasts
from Tri-Valley campus, the VIB has broadcast from many other sites in and outside of Illinois:
Tremont, Colfax, LeRoy, Gibson City, Heyworth,
Flanagan, Lexington, Paxton, Clifton, Danville,
Delavan, Farmington, El Paso, Morrison, Riverton (text updates), East Peoria
(text updates), Champaign-Urbana, Bloomington-Normal, Bourbonnais, and St.
Louis, MO (text updates).

- The following broadcasts are the highest
rated in VIB history:
1.) Boys Basketball Super Sectional game vs. St. Anne on March 9th,
2004.
2.) Senior Night Football game vs. LeRoy on October 24th, 2008
3.) Boys Basketball McLean County Tournament Championship Game vs.
Heyworth on January 26th, 2008. (Watch

4.) Boys Basketball McLean County Tournament Championship Game vs. Dee
Mack on January 21st, 2006. (Watch

5.) Boys Basketball SVC Tournament Game vs. LeRoy on February 1st, 2006.
- The lowest rated broadcast in VIB history
was the Girls Basketball McLean County Championship game featuring Ridgeview
and Flanagan on January 21st, 2006.
- During the February 17th, 2006, broadcast
of the Varsity Boys Basketball game vs. LeRoy, the high volume of VIB
viewers caused the Tri-Valley website to crash.
- In the multi-year history of the VIB,
there have been 25 championship contests covered in either broadcast
of text update form: two basketball regional championship games, one
basketball sectional championship game, one basketball super-sectional
championship game, three basketball McLean County Tournament championship
games, one baseball SVC championship game, three
softball HOIC tournament championship games, three softball regional
championship games, three softball sectional championship games, three softball supersectional championship games,
two softball state third place games, one eighth grade volleyball state championship game,
one girls track and field state championship meet, and one HOIC track and field championship meet.

- In all, over 3000 student-athletes have
been featured in VIB broadcasts.
- In all, the VIB has broadcast over 500
hours of material.
- In 2006, the VIB was recognized by the
Bloomington-Normal Pantagraph, the LeRoy Journal, and the IHSA for their
excellent efforts in broadcasting. See

- On May 10th, 2008, the VIB broadcast from
a "mobile booth" from beyond the outfield wall as the Varsity Softball team
played Tremont in the semifinals of the HOIC Tournament.

- The largest viewership for a non-athletic
VIB broadcast was the Tri-Valley High School graduation ceremony on May
23rd, 2008.
- VIB alumnus Tim Ditman was involved with over 150 broadcasts and amassed over 1,500
hours of broadcast work in his tenure with the project.
- On July 21st, 2008, the VIB crew was on hand
when the Viking baseball team played an
exhibition game against Geneseo at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The
crew provided a online gameday blog and a gametracker for fans who could not
be in attendance.
- On March 22nd, 2009, the VIB debuted its
Twitter page with updates
on the high school baseball team's season opening doubleheader vs. Tremont
and St. Joseph-Ogden. Two days later on March 24th, the VIB provided
Twitter updates for the Class 3A eighth grade state volleyball
championship game
between Tri-Valley and Chillicothe. The Vikings won in two sets to
claim the state title.
- On August 30th, 2009, the VIB got a taste
of celebrity when it broadcast the Tri-Valley vs.
University of Illinois Alumni Basketball Game from Downs. Many
notable former college and professional basketball players were on hand at
the event.
- During the fall of 2009, the VIB switched
streaming providers to livestream
and ustream,
allowing for new features to be added to live broadcasts, including multiple
cameras and live chats.
